Pros

Pretty standard old school gov con company. Education benefits are fine.

Cons

Very clearly more interested in throwing money to the investors than compensating their employees. They have absolutely no plan when it comes to their review cycles. Very little transparency, and lots of obvious stretching as of the truth from leadership.

Pros

- Large and well financed company supporting individual contracts. - Responsive administrative and IT support outside of individual team processes and resources. - Outside of standard medical/insurance benefits they offer tuition reimbursement with University partners, IVF planning and discounts, career development, and more. - Team/Contract dependent. (can be pro or con) In my case, my team and experience was great. Intelligent/sharp, organized, productive, supportive, and empathetic. - Pace can be slower for government contract work (again, contract specific, can be pro or con depending on your style.) - Allows for team autonomy. - Offers fully remote positions.

Cons

- Contracts can be short term (3-5 years) and are not guaranteed to be renewed. There's no guarantee you will transition to another contract or team. - Some contract funding may be affected by government shutdowns, or outright descoped (think DOGE) - Very team/contract dependent. (can be pro or con) - Pace can be slower for government contract work (again, contract specific, can be pro or con depending on your style.) - Not as nimble as a smaller company or startup can be.
