      People are mission-focused, not ego-focused

      Pros

      As mentioned in my headline, the team I worked with really was focused on the mission and not personal aggrandizement. Everyone was open to suggestions for improvement and cheered those who thought outside the box. Morale was high, and I was generously compensated for my work.

      Cons

      ManTech does not follow the Federal holiday calendar. President's Day and Columbus Day are not company holidays. It would increase your already good morale to recognize these holidays. The federal workers are not in their offices, so projects that require interaction with the feds stall for a day anyway.

      Great Company. Salesforce Practice is New

      Pros

      Good pay Flexible work life balance. ( as long as you set boundaries) Great benefits in health care Autonomy here is great in my project. You’re expected to insert yourself and be proactive rather than waiting for a manager to tell you to do something.

      Cons

      Salesforce practice is still young. You’ll need to be very proactive in your role, no one will tell you if you’re doing something wrong. In the beginning, communication is tough with government projects, you have to talk a guy, who talks to another guy just to find out your user story didn’t make it to UAT. Mantech management is a little unorganized, be vigilant in reaching out to your managers/leadership for guidance.
