Always afraid of losing your job

Pros

The people that worked here are great and always had a great time during company events

Cons

The company seemed to always stress that they were having financial struggles and that didn't really offer job security for the employees. When the SVB failure happened, instead of keeping everyone and maybe lowering everyone's pay by a percentage they fired a large amount of employees. It just showed how the company didn't really care about the employees.

Pros

Is this job perfect? No - it’s a job. The economy sucks and there were layoffs. They weren’t done perfectly but are they ever? Look how the big companies handled theirs. I’ve been here several years and my hard work has always been appreciated and rewarded. I can probably guess who wrote the negative reviews based on timing and it being a small company, and there’s always two sides to every story. Glassdoor is for salty people and rarely for satisfied ones. MFour has given me the opportunity to develop my career in a big way. They’re small enough where if you commit, you can have a lot of exposure to some super cool stuff. I started in a barebones entry level position and now get to help develop department-wide processes for a business model shift and an entire new product. How cool is that?!! It sounds like I drank the koolaid and maybe I did, but I’m genuinely appreciative for things I’ve learned and the experiences I’ve had here.

Cons

The work-life balance can be incredibly difficult at times. Things change very suddenly and with no notice and I have to constantly pivot to adapt. Management means well but because of the rapidly evolving nature of the business, support from your manager can be limited.
