Growing Pains, Lack of Communication, and Oblivious
Pros
Laid back environment and good lower leadership (leads and supervisors) for the most part. Lots of overtime available. Recent payscale increase. Good 401K match and decent benefits.
Cons
Company is relatively new and has a lot of growing pains which the pandemic hasn't helped. Training is very limited. It's a struggle to find working computers/printers in the hangar. The entire place is understaffed and people continue to leave. Upper management doesn't seem to have a clear direction and fails to properly communicate info until the last minute. Despite having worked on the same type of aircraft even back to when it was Bombardier it still seems like it's the first time we're doing this for every new plane that comes in. People seem generally frustrated. The schedule isn't too bad (12 hour shifts with 3 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off) unless your on nights which has been 4x12s every week due to staff shortages. Doesn't feel like the company cares about it's employees, but what's new. Corporate is doing the bare minimum to foster a culture of diversity and inclusion.
