Pros

Absolutely NO pros whatsoever! None!

Cons

Everything that you can imagine. Mint does not care about employees. All they care about is making the owner richer than he already is. The days are long, typically well over 40 hours a week. Poor compensation for work done. They will tell you your pay is based on production, but that is a lie. They pay you on collections, AFTER they make all their "adjustments". Benefits are a joke. They will tell you malpractice is covered, but YOU pay for it out of your paycheck. No paid time off. Cannot take time off in November or December. Absolutely NO work/life balance. They move you around to other offices at their discretion, and send needed staff home when the schedules are light, while still pushing for same-day treatment, and then the staff that remains is overworked because of being understaffed, all the while still expecting the same production. They send hygienists home to "save money", and then expect the doctors to do hygiene. Don't ever expect to leave work on time. Don't ever expect a lunch. Their motto is "dentistry in luxury", but it is far from that. The equipment is antiquated with frequent breakdowns or malfunctions. They control what you use to practice, so if you need something that really helps you to provide excellent Dentistry, and it is not in their formulary, you are SOL, and are forced to work with what they allow you to have. Prepare to be micromanaged as well. And when you decide to leave, you are required to give them 90 days notice or they will charge you $10,000 as a penalty. And unless you are the only dentist at your location, prepare to fight for patients, because any doctor can see any patient. Patients are not YOURS unless they specifically request you. Although this is a "privately owned" organization, it operates exactly like a DSO. And when you decide to leave, they will completly screw you on your last paycheck with their convoluted calculations!!! Stay away!!!

Pros

None honestly. Only if you like being treat like a factory worker

Cons

Where do I start. They are a scam. They over diagnose treatment. The office managers and dentist are paid off of production so they push any type of unnecessary treatment. They will force you to work through lunch or give you 15 mins to eat while working 9+ hours. They have cameras everywhere so corporate can watch you. If your a friend of corporate, they will backstab you. They also make promises of bonuses and you never get it. Don’t let the advertisement fool you, the teeth whitening doesn’t work. You get thirty minutes to see a patient during a pandemic!

Doctors- Don’t work here

Pros

Good hours and work-life balance

Cons

Mint has recently switched to paying doctors based on production, but they’re astoundingly incompetent at it. They hide your production numbers from you and then after the month is over, they “edit” them. You have no way to see where they come up with your production numbers because they just give you a total that changes throughout the day- and often goes down after you leave. There are no paid vacation days, no sick days, no 401k match, and basically no reason to work here over anywhere else.
