Smart Motivated People. Lots of Opportunities to grow but you need to search for it yourself. Great access to facilities. Lots of extracurricular activity.

Cons

Not much guidance. On your own. Have to be good at training yourself or come with prior knowledge or you'll have a hard time. Little communication between research groups.
