      Pros

      Worked with some of the smartest people in the world. Worked on some of the most advanced technology in the world. Great group of people - some good friends

      Cons

      The value the organization assigned to my position was much lower than commercial industry assigns to a similar position. i.e. pay was low.

      Thank you for your comments and your long tenure. You have identified some pros that we hope are common to all employees. We continually work to address what you addressed as a con. It is sometimes challenging to directly correlate roles here to what are viewed as similar roles in industry but we work hard at it. Hopefully, you continue to view your 10+ years of service here as positive and rewarding.

      I was told to look for work elsewhere because of disability related issues.

      Amazing place. Wish I could pick it up and move it to a more affordable environment.

      Pros

      Work life balance is fantastic. Tough but very interesting projects that change as needs change. Benefits are amazing. Great place to work.

      Cons

      Salary can’t compete with private sector. Housing in neighboring towns is extremely expensive. While projects do change, you may get stuck on a never ending one which gets boring.

The Boston market is on the expensive side and we work hard to keep our compensation programs consistent with the market. On the plus side, there is a wide range of activities and resources here and real estate tends to hold value well. Thanks again.
