      great people, lots of flexibility

      Cons

      flat management structure. experienced staff members in same role as brand new staff members.

      Pros

      Great people to work with. Very cutting edge work. You will always be challenged. You have time to really research and understand your project.

      Cons

      If you don't like self direction you might feel a bit lost there. The desire is to hire capable people and to help them create and develop cutting edge technology. If you are not self motivated enough you might feel like there is enough to do.

      Pros

      Interesting projects. Department employees were willing to take interns under their wing and teach them certain skills.

      Cons

      Spent behind the desk 90% of the time. Other than assistance with certain assignments, others in the lab were not very approachable.

      We attempt to give our interns interesting work and are pleased that you found that to be the case. It sometimes take extra effort to get information from others. Fortunately, you did find that others were willing to take you " under their wings."
