      Pros

      Very interesting work. Sense of purpose. Academically oriented peers. Nice mixture of applied and academic work. Being on Hanscom/ AF land is kind of cool.

      Cons

      Feels like government work. No cushy in-office benefits like you'd see in any modern tech firm. Keeping track of time can be annoying (like for any job based on government contracts/grants)
