Pros

MIT has a wonderful, collaborative environment that produces amazing research and improves lives around the world.

Cons

MIT's pay is out dated and uncompetitive, especially considering the skyrocketing costs of living in the Boston area. Also, it is disappointing that funding and support for staff education and development is limited and lacking.

Pros

Great research environment. Very intense training for Ph.D. Program. Learning from the Best advisors in the field. Also have access to many shared equipments from department. Qualifications exams can be stressful for the first two years

Cons

High living cost. Hard to find decent apartment around Cambridge area. Competitive program and can be stressful sometimes. Have to teach, take courses, research and take qualifications at the same time at first year
