      Pros

      There's a lot of pride in the community at MIT, and a lot of freedom as well.

      Cons

      Leadership tends to be "pale, male, and stale." While there are opportunities for advancement, these usually don't come with adequate salary increases. It's one of MIT's worst kept secrets that you can only reasonably expect 1-3% annual raises, despite quality of the work done and increased job responsibilities; and worse, most promotions only generate a 10% increase in pay.

      Pros

      One of the best reasons to work at MIT is the beautiful community and culture that is so loving.

      Cons

      No significant negatives, I did not quite like the Boston weather here during the summer, very muggy.
