Pros

Wonderful place to work. All the research facilities are amazing. But the most important is that you get the benefits of being a student and can use all the facilities at MIT.

Cons

You are at the same time a researcher and a student so your hours are long and don't include class work which makes them longer.

Pros

Has a lot of opportunities, hand holds you if you're interested in entrepreneurship, technology, research, or just about anything else.

Cons

Difficult time balancing all activities - max seems to be two extracurriculars and a full courseload, but it is what you make it

Pros

PIs are helpful and knowledgeable, will drive students hard. Experience varies greatly by PI. Support system is great

Cons

A bad PI will make life difficult. Small salary relative to talents. Long days and nights. Expensive area to live.
