Pros

the challenge and the steep learning curve. also, the school expectancy that its students should be proficient in more than one field of science. A very good place to meet exceptionally smart people. also, it was surprising how much money the school pay for student group for extra-curricular activities

Cons

Hard. sometime depressing. challenging research topics. not all departments have a system in place to graduate their students in 5 years or less

Pros

If you are content to be a drone with no prospects for growth or learning, this is your place.

Cons

Managers are the worst. Morale is poor. No one really cares about their job. Typical employee goal is to do as little as possible and if something goes wrong blame everyone around them.

Pros

- Incessant pool of intellectual stimulus - Exposure to the most cutting-edge research in science and technology - Youthful and vibrant city of Cambridge

Cons

- Salaries/stipends are not exactly commensurate with the uber-expensive surrounding of Cambridge - Lack of subsidized housing for most grad students - Unpaid TA positions (not the case at that other school in Cambridge)
