There is a very good work life balance here and a lot of flexibility of working hours. The atmosphere is also very friendly and not cut-throat. There is also a lot of support moving between contracts.
Cons
There is limited career growth for early-career professionals. Promotions can be fairly slow moving.
MITRE Response

We regularly hear that our employees continue to make MITRE a great place to work, and we appreciate that they make others feel welcome and appreciated. We recommend that you talk to your manager about where you would like to see your career advance to.
I love that this company is very diverse (ethnically, by gender, by age, and other walks of life). I also like the work-life balance and the employee-first mentality. Flexibility is wonderful, especially for a woman like me who's about to become a first-time mother. My coworkers are wonderful and treat everyone as equals. This company also offers educational opportunities that I have not seen available with the other companies I have worked for. I completed my Master's as an employee at MITRE and the company was fully supportive (flexibility was very important here too).
Cons
I work at a site and we don't have all the perks the main campus does such as a cafeteria, gym acces, and so on.
