Pros
I loved making pizzas, the money is pretty good with tips (for a job of this sort anyways), and the labor isn’t incredibly difficult. You get to take pizzas home all the time as a night shifter, which was nice! The discount is great! I love their salads too, so I usually ate one of those because I didn’t want to eat pizza every day.
Cons
Closing sucked. Having to scrape and mop the floor at closing was backbreaking type work. It was honestly one of the few things I really hated and I was always Night Shift, and for some reason always got stuck doing it. Closing the lines weren’t terrible, but when a customer comes in 5 minutes before close, that was annoying to re-open and then close. I don’t think the company gives us enough time to shut down after customers walk in, so you’re stuck working over a lot as customers get more and more disrespectful…The last thing that bothered me was that some of the managers like to short-cut washing the dishes. There was a whole process to make sure they came out clean, one of them being soaking them in a sanitation solution. One of my managers who taught me the way to wash dishes, told me she always skips that step! Really?! During COVID?!
