Pros

This job is a good fit if you enter as a shift lead, where you're guaranteed a decent amount of hours. The base pay isn't a lot, but the tips more than make up for it. Seems easy enough to get promoted. In general, the job is straight forward and taking home pizza after a long shift is always nice. The best part is meeting interesting customers and getting to know the regulars.

Cons

If you're part time, your hours will shift like crazy. You could go from 22 hours one week, to 15, to 9 in the next and you likely won't get a single explanation why. Even if it's slow and there's nothing to do, the leads will insist on one chore or another. The "talk and work" mentality isn't a bad one, but when there's no work to be done, it becomes a problem. If your store don't sell enough pizza within an hour, people start getting sent home regardless of how many hours they were promised. Closing is not very nice, especially on the weekends, as you often leave up to an hour later than intended. Leaving at 12 AM when the shift was supposed end at 11:30 PM usually means there weren't enough people closing in the first place. You might have to endure only having 1 work uniform for up to a month as a new hire because you only get new uniforms when they're ordered en mass. Depending on the store you get, the environment can get fairly toxic. You're not always going to like everyone, but conflict resolution is not this company's strength. Being a "cool" company with "chill" managers doesn't solve this problem. Lastly, hope you get a manager that actually takes time to train in you properly. You will be left to hang and dry after the basic stuff and you will be thrown under the bus if you're there several months and don't know everything. If the manager won't teach you, insist your shift leads teach you EVERYTHING: cooking, washing the dishes, which buttons to press on the register, how to organize the fridge, etc. No one else is going to guide you.
