Pros

Best part about working at MSI, friendly coworkers. Fairly laid back environment (Warning: not really a pro, I'll go into more detail later). Knowledgeable colleagues who have been in this industry for a long time. You get 3 times the experience working here. You know those jobs that ask you for 10+ years of experience? Just multiply your time here by 2. You will be doing twice the amount of work a normal office employee is expected to do. Bi-annual bonus if you are good at what you do.

Cons

Negotiate your pay before getting hired or do not take a job here. You will regret it. Big time. The laid back environment can set you up for failure. You have to set goals for yourself and motivate yourself to go above and beyond or you become complacent and you will be stuck where you are. You are going to be doing more than you expect to do. The task expected of you for your position is false, you will be doing a lot more than you bargain for. Sales & Marketing are extremely short handed for the amount of work expected from the team. You will be doing 2 or 3 people's job. As a new employee you either know what you need to do or quickly learn how to do it. Working here is like learning how to swim. You go to a swimming class and the instructor kicks you into the deep end of the pool. You'll either drown or you'll learn to swim quickly. Do not expect managers/supervisors to properly train you. The managers/supervisors are all working 2 peoples job already and training new hire is an added bonus. Make friends quick and learn what you can as fast as possible

Pros

- Nice colleagues (If you work for the right department) If you ever consider working for this company, DO check with your connections who work here. - Flex-working No one wants to work overtime since company won't pay you for overtime - They follow the rules and regulations Well... they make sure you'll be protected by law but... law is the moral minimum

Cons

Now... where should I start. - Poor management A LOT of office politics, drama and rumors. Very old-school asian management style. No room to change status quo. Some of the managers speak very poor English. Very depressing, negative office atmosphere - Low-paid If you are an Asian, they will pay you even less - Short-sighted No so-called long-term business plan. Ridiculously low marketing budget - No respect to employee - Unprofessional HR They handle everything badly and they think they do a great job. It's a joke. - No room to grow No proper trainings If you cannot please your manager, you will never be promoted - High employee turnover Every 2-3 months a group of employees quit

Pros

To be honest, it’s a nice place to raise children, especially if you’re the mom. You get to order your colleagues around with your belly and pile them with your work since you have to leave the office early to pick up your child. They almost never fire anybody, but work is never evenly distributed since people leave the company on their on will. Free meals if you work over 7pm. A tiny gym is available. If you’re good at pretending to be busy, this is a place for you to retire.

Cons

Office Leave rate is around 20%. Never clock out on time, an average work day is bout 10H No extra pay or compensate for work on weekends during biz travel, they say it’s because you’re “abroad” Managements have no idea how to run the company and refuse to listen. Disses anybody but sales, they are the boss here. Marketing has to be able to do anything from packing materials on the ground, video editing, photo editing to hosting a YouTube channel, run gaming competition and throwing plush dolls off a stage. Pay is average Taiwanese company pay, which is not valued for your work.
