Pros
Team mates and people in department are friendly and helpful. Efficient and employees of good calibre. Other branches in same area of work are appreciative and helpful.
Cons
Lower than average pay increment. Copay medical insurance. Rotation of Japanese expats who maybe your boss and are not knowledgeable in the area of work. Policies are in Japanese and translated to English. Japanese gets prompted faster (expat or locals alike), non-Japanese promotions depends on whether the head is appreciative. Work from home initiatives but not all systems can be assessed from home.
