Pros

A job in banking in London that is still hiring.

Cons

Have developed an unsettling firing mentality under their current HR lead. Great careers if you're Japanese, not so good if you're not (little diversity). Current European leadership are viewed as a bit of a joke. Relocating out of the London office post-Brexit, but denying that this is happening. Internal merger is also causing friction. Massive hire-and-fire mentality - pay is good on the way in, but frozen after a year or so. Poor systems and bloated IT dept, with lots of manual processes (get used to paperwork). European operation has been starved of investment in the last 4 years; focus shifted to Asian growth.

Pros

Mufg Union Bank is a very dynamic environment. It's very stimulating to work with highly educated colleagues. The atmosphere is international. Benefits are good.

Cons

Working from the Los Angeles office is a bit difficult as the activity has been more and more focused in New York. Turnover in my department is really high.
