Pros

Great salary and training. Great place to get your foot in the door with transportation.

Cons

Poor general manager at the time and required a lot of over time, weekends, nights, and eventually travel.

Pros

None at all what so ever! Maybe a few individuals who are genuinely good nice people are the pros.

Cons

Management at the Pinole location shows serious favoritism. You have to stroke their egos to move even a inch forward, if that. Supervisors are disrespectful ( a few aren't). Training is a joke and not long enough. Supervisors will instruct you not to do certain practices then do it themselves. There should never be exceptions when it comes to safety! But at MV Transportation there are exceptions. They put under trained drivers on the road just to cover routes in order to keep Westcat off their butts. Employees behave like high school teenagers, spending their time and effort to talk about each other and spread gossip. Supervisors are spiteful and will lie on you if you dont except their nasty attitudes. Their jobs have totally gone to their heads. Extremely clickish, very childish and unprofessional environment. There is no real advancement here, don't believe whatever lies they try to feed you. Once you're out of training forget about getting help with anything, you'll just be bothering them. Their one and only goal is to cover their own butts and could care less about employees. This place is a revolving door and I see why. The place sucks! If you're looking to become a bus operator go somewhere else. This place is smoke and mirrors. These are the kind of people who lie to you with a smile on their faces. Lies lies Lies!

Pros

If you do the passenger pick up service, you learn your way around the city in a way you would not think possible. At least in my part of the country, the supervisors and coworkers are decent people to work with each day.

Cons

Really sorry pay for the amount of responsibility/liability. They do help with health insurance if you get 35 hours per week, but $10 an hour starting is really lame.
