Pros

Competitive pay, decent training, company highly values its employees and treats them as true assets. High standards in property upkeep, customer experience, and marketing production. Macerich is a top notch REIT that knows what their doing.

Cons

Marketing efforts can be stale at times and driven from the top down. Frivilous events with limited payback and traffic generation. Localized creativity can be stifled by corporate marketing objectives. Marketing generates little to no revenue and is the first to go in lean times.

I love the company. What started as a family owned company with a few malls has grown into a company with malls in over 10 states across the country.

Cons

The hours, dealing with the kids on the weekends. Also unless you are full time there are no benefits.

Pros

Strong executive level people running the company. Most executives consider the employees their greatest asset. Conservative financial management (which is good given the current economy). Many good SVPs who have long term experience in the industry. Good benefits package.

Cons

Too many personal agendas and corporate politics. Positive Company messages and agendas do not trickle down past VP level. Most talented and hardest working are not always looked at for promotion or advancement.
