Decent company, good work-life balance, low pay

Pros

Everyone is very nice, almost too nice. It's a fairly casual office environment. If you are an entry-level employee, you track hours and get paid overtime.

Cons

You will not be compensated well. Some managers are not skilled or good communicators. Budgets for many initiatives are tight. Projects can sometimes seem haphazard.

Pros

I worked in higher education. The people were very welcoming and the atmosphere was casual. I could wear jeans to work. I got so many opportunities to work on involved projects. I truly felt like part of the team. I stayed for another semester and kept freelancing after that. I met some amazing friends!

Cons

It's paid (which is awesome) but it's nearly minimum wage

Cons

The culture has changed for the worse.
