Pros

Diverse student mix. Some very good students who could go to State or U of M. After startup costs, not a lot of work to be done outside of class: most grading can be done in class. Great admin and office staff!

Cons

Positives spoiled by self-important full-time faculty of spotty qualification. Truly awful IT. Initiatives and changes rolled out with little notice or preparation. Absolutely NO recognition or positive recognition for adjunct faculty.

Pros

Director is great. Peers are nice. Hours are good albeit part-time. Hourly wages are fair.

Cons

Very power hungry department when it comes to middle and low level "supervisors". Egos run rampant. Gossip and catty behavior prevail. It's a very difficult environment to work in. Team work is non-existent. The students can be very mean and rude. And so can some of the staff members.
