*SO MANY RODS OF CLOTHES! They always want rods put away yet they keep all fitting rooms open (which makes us have more rods from customers not wanting clothes they tried on) knowing we're understaffed.
*They will take a worker from one area to another to be by themselves at a register for hours
*They only have one manager in charge of doing schedules, so if they're out you're out of luck
*They will schedule you outside of your availability or they will schedule you too little in summer and too much in fall and winter
*During "Macy's holiday schedule" (WINTER MONTHS) they schedule you more (pro/con)
*The schedule system can make a mistake and give you full time hours instead of part time
*They once called me when I had called out of a shift
*A revolving door of workers sometimes, people keep quitting.
*The cash (NOT COUPON) incentives from opening credits count as pay and show up on your taxes and pay slips (not really a con but something to know before working here)
*They put the same 10-day price adjustment limit that they have for customers onto employees. (There was no limit for employees before this year.)
*Managers sometimes don't know the register functions
*Managers will talk about how a single employee at a register can't put up clothing fast enough when they know we have to help customers as well.
*Employee reliability takes 13 weeks to fully reset if you call out and don't use PTO or sick time on it.
*An anti-union company, even has a video during employee training telling employees to have a manager or colleague look over anything they receive from unions.
*Will sometimes schedule you for 9 hour shifts to clean up the floor before or after the store is open.
*They don't make enough announcements to make sure customers know when the mall or store is closed.
*Morning meetings are referred to as "cleanup parties" since we now have to pick up clothes off the floor while attending them.
*Several good managers have left, this store in particular has gone downhill.
*Don't provide explanations of how you can use flexible holidays, just that you can use them.
*Rarely tell associates of sale dates in advance so we have no idea what to tell customers when they ask.
*Customers leave clothing in the fitting room or act a fool when finding out something was left on the wrong rack so it's not the price they expected.
