Pros

Good perks if you happen to work in the right department.

Cons

Poor communication all around. Corporate and store management are always implementing changes which are time consuming, patronizing and usually redundant. Offering useless coupons. Macy's credit cards are little better than loan sharking. Forcing employees to use store card to obtain discount. The incessant belittling of employees. Excessive meetings when employees should be on the floor selling. Men's clothing department is dated as is mens shoes.

Pros

If you know how to sell, you can get an excellent pay. They offer good discounts as well. One weekend off every 5 weeks.

Cons

Staying open very late, with no customers can get very boring. Macys will hire for cheap labor and take advantage of you so be sure to show what youre made out of. Management can become very harrassing if you don't open the store credit cards as much as they would like.
