      Great place to get your feet wet

      Pros

      *Get to learn Product development at a major vertical retailer *Overall good group of people to work with *Ability to move around to different areas and learn different aspects of retail

      Cons

      *Promotion is not based on skill, some areas social promotion taken to the extreme. HR sells it to you one way and then you find out if you're not liked well enough you're stuck in the same position for years with modest pay increases/ *Work-life balance is a scam; only for senior and upper management. A product manager wanted to work 4 days a week after having a baby and have her associate travel instead of her since she's breast feeding, VP said no.

      Pros

      It was a fun environment for the most part. Had good morale among the management and associates. Customer service is above average.

      Cons

      If the scheduale is already printed, good luck getting the day off if something important comes up. Some associates can get away with murder, while others are treated "normally."

      Pros

      They are quick to promote if you know the right people and work hard. They are very supportive to new employees. I made it from night merchandiser to Manager in 2 1/2 years.

      Cons

      If you are not allied with the "right: people you can stay in the same position for years with a false promises. You will work 50 hours as a manager (scheduled) and many more if you want to get your work done.
