Pros

Monthly payouts when the store does well. Easy job for the most part.

Cons

- I did not receive any training and had to teach myself the job. - Management is HORRIBLE - They care more about numbers than the safety of their APDs. - If you want to move up, you have to have the numbers (apprehensions/recoveries) to show for.

Pros

You network and meet a lot of nice people, great hours depending on business needs and you have access to decent spots to eat at during lunch.

Cons

Favoritism, will look for petty reasons to fire you. In addition, management can be unprofessional and wants you to make them look good when higher ups come in the store once a month. They don’t know how to give proper breaks. They will shift and move you around to different sections of Macys based on business needs. If you are pregnant and trying to work, they do not make reasonable accommodations if you are. If you want a permanent position, you have to be a slave for them to do so.
