Pros

My fellow coworkers were nice, we were hidden back in the gift shop department. The structure of the department was sound and there were ways to keep you busy, but if it was just too slow, then they democratically sent people home.

Cons

The employee "discount" is a complete joke. You either have to have good credit to qualify for the credit card or you have hell with the prepaid card. I had the prepaid card because I didn't want the hassle of owing money, I just wanted to put money on the card and spend it. They apparently put a $50 credit on the PREPAID card and it caused a lot of issues with creditors. I was told that I owed them money, but when I would check the balance, it claimed they owed me the money. It was a huge hassle and the Macy's credit department is completely worthless. I finally just paid the money to shut them up so that I wouldn't screw over my own credit (which never should have been touched because IT'S A PREPAID CARD).

Pros

The only reason that someone should stay at Macy's is because of the management. They have very great management system. They are caring, and understanding. You can pick up shifts as many as you want. Even to 50 something hours a week. You will have your own freedom when to go to lunch or dinner. You will get points but being punctual and lose but not being one. You will earn PTO eveb as a part time employee. And it is very easy to get promoted if you are a very determind, and driven person.

Cons

Most of the good benefits starts if you work constantly above certain jours, like insurance. Tuition reimbursment, and etc..
