Pros

Nice working environment, nice co workers and customers, employee friendly, flexible scheduling, good online website for employees, great employee discount on merchandise, nice break rooms and they make sure you get your breaks on time.

Cons

Minimum wage pay, old registers, too loud music overhead, more room for advancement for current employees, sometimes communication from management is lacking.

Good experience for team work, communication skills, decision making, might look good if trying to get into law enforcement or a regulatory field. Company will also train you in interview and interrogation techniques.

Cons

Overall poor training, high turnover rate, horrible benefits, many promotions are because of nepotism or political correctness resulting In incompetent and uninspiring leadership. Most District and Regional personnel are cutthroat and only looking out for themselves, I worked with and for some really good people but I would not recommend a career in LP/AP in general, at the rate Macy's is closing stores it is only a matter of time before AP is gutted and ultimately phased out, on top of that you're putting yourself in danger for about $11 an hour to protect some overpriced designer clothing, just think about it.
