Pros

I am super proud to be a member of this team and continue to believe in the mission and impact of the work we do. This company has historically been one of the best places to work, and many of us have given our best year after year because we care deeply about the organization’s success.

Cons

OoThat said, my biggest concern is around leadership practices, especially in IT. Promotions often appear to be based more on personal connections or friendships rather than on skills, proven performance, or years of dedication. This has resulted in talented, long-term team members being overlooked, while newer employees with leadership ties advance more quickly. Unfortunately, this has led to morale being at an all-time low. It is difficult to see highly capable and committed colleagues discouraged by a lack of recognition or opportunity. This is a shame, given the strong culture and sense of pride that once made this company truly stand out.

Maternity Leave

Pros

-FMLA 12 weeks job protection

Cons

-you must use 7 days of your own PTO to start before short term disability kicks in -short term disability is either 6 or 8 weeks depending on how you deliver at 50% of your pay (60% of your pay if you elect to contribute/pay into your short term disability when selecting benefits for the year) -the remaining portion of your FMLA leave is NOT PAID. MLH says that it is paid parental bonding, but it is only paid if you have PTO to supplement.
