      Pros

      Flexible schedule, Autonomy, Educational opportunities. Money is good. Pension. Variety of health benefit options. Decent amount of PTO.

      Cons

      Isolating and lonely work. Long hours on the road. Long hours at home after visits are done (the amount of charting is ridiculous). Read-only access to EPIC and can't send messages to providers. Working with two EMR systems that don't "talk" to each other (EPIC and HCHB) which adds unnecessary time to your day. Terrible work-life balance. Time off isn't really time off because you have to call your clients the day before to schedule visits. Your Sunday night is never your own.... Always a lot of turnover.

      Pros

      The pension is the main reason to work here, but you need to last 5 years to be vested....

      Cons

      I worked as part of the Employee Experience - a fancy made up name for a Human Resources Call Center. On the phone non-stop trying to help people understand a poorly run and poorly organized Human Resources function. They are putting a lot of money into HR, with new Vice Presidents and Directors and Managers all over the place - I can't imagine how much it is costing - but what are they getting? As someone who was on the front lines of that Employee Experience they tout, I can tell you the employees at MLH are not happy.

      The people at Main Line Health make it easier to come to work

      * Coworkers are helpful and always supportive, especially during a crisis. * Salary is excellent compared to other hospitals in the area * The administration seems to care about employees and improving the system * Easy to switch from part-time to full-time or per diem based on your situation or need

      Cons

      * You only have three callouts for the whole year * Short staffing, but that is a problem at most hospitals
