- Old-fashioned business structure: the career stages are clearly defined and no matter how good you are you need to stay in each of them the required time to move forward. The roles are clearly defined and there is little room for initiative and innovation. This structure generates that the talented people leave in the early stages and the management is (generally) mediocre. - A terrible evaluation system that leads to very unfair ratings: during your first 6 years as staff, you get rated twice a year. your bonus and next year salary will be based on that rating. the rating is not based on how good you do your work but rather criteria like: Is he or she managing people? -No --> then he cannot get an A even in the performance has been outstanding (like if the staffing decision was taken by the consultant) is there more than 1 consultant from the same level and both of them are good? -Yes --> well, they cannot both get a high rating etc etc - Very long hours even if you don't always have that much work. it is not well-seen to leave at your time. no flexibility or consideration with personal issues - unfair overtime hours policy: depending on your assignment you can get overtime pay or not. So you might be working until 11 pm and don't get anything and one in the project nearby can be leaving at 9 and get 2 hours extra a day.
