Only for some years

Pros

Good salary for the Madrid average, and if you are lucky, you will learn a lot in some proyects in the main spanish banks. The mates are incredible, and there are a lot of great and very smart people in the company. Good salary increases (10-15% each year)

Cons

Management is awful in 90% of the cases. Their only worry is to win money selling projects, no matter how the project is sold and if the final product is something valuable. There is a lack of middle-management people in the company, as they have a lot of junior consultants, and a lot of partners and top-managers. Of course, we are speaking of consultancy, so do not expect exiting before 8 p.m., and 11 is common. Not common, but possible, is to work till 11 p.m. and some weekends.

Pros

None to speak of whatsoever. At least got my foot into door of client firm and got hired there instead. I think only good thing about this firm is HR is very nice.

Cons

Incredibly mundane work - a monkey could do it, low pay, long hours, most idiotic teammates. I know Birmingham is not highest cost of living but for real getting paid less than McDonalds considering the hours. They tout their high raises but considering how low you start, it would take you around a quarter century to break even compared to a normal starting salary (assuming the other place wont ever give you a raise).

Pros

Colleagues are nice. Drinks on Thursdays from time to time.

Cons

There are huge differences in the compensation package of the local graduates and the expats who can’t even speak English. Low salary. No pension fund! Seriously, what was I going to do when I retired? If you don’t speak Spanish there is no career here which is a problem for most graduates hired in the UK. All the management team is Spanish. One of the managers/directors kept on lying to me from the day I got hired to the day I left.
