Good place to work, but there is room for improvement

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, competent colleagues; nice office; flexible schedule; bagel Wednesdays; good mission; interesting and meaningful work; competitive pay; annual bonuses; competent and supportive response to the current COVID-19 related situation.

Cons

Benefits could be better; paying for parking; disconnect between leadership's rhetoric and practice (leadership talks a lot about valuing employees, but when it comes down to discussing any specific issues or concerns, some members of leadership give a cold shoulder and even adapt an accusatory tone).

Pros

Wonderful team; everyone gets along well Be part of growth and opportunity Get real responsibility quickly Contribute to processes and company culture People are dedicated to making a difference

Cons

If you only want to work on one project and focus, this is not the place. You need to be a multi-tasker willing to contribute to multiple activities and business development.

Leave employees out to dry

Pros

Tried to keep as many employees as possible as DOGE and government contracting changes affected jobs.

Cons

The minute there was a shutdown, affected employees were furloughed. Not even one paycheck on overhead or other projects. I've worked for other contractors during shutdowns and they did not immediately furlough employees, so this seems very hasty. Feels like MSG is a house of cards.
