Pros

Manpower has always offered a decent benefit package. Their technology standards have always been a priority and there were some great staffing and recruiting tools available.

Cons

The lack of training is increasing. New hires (both line staff and managers) are being placed in offices without proper knowledge of daily responsibilities. Improper screening of new in-house staff has caused a break down in performance and employee dedication.

Pros

Global company well poised to take market share during the down market. Conservatively managed and expect to see continued growth beyond traditional competitors. Approach to engaging company-wide leadership in the vision and execution plan is best I have seen / experienced. If you can get close to one of the few strategists at this firm, you stand a chance to really learn something as they are some of the best in the biz.

Cons

Long hours - little time or consideration for balance and family. Minimalist profits make for minimalist approach to the market and this company will not be able to re-invent itself fast enough to hold its ground for the long term. As I said, there are some good strategists here, but they are not listened to reliably and there is not enough profit margin to do some of the big things that this company should be doing. Lots of mixed messages and where we should be focusing.

Pros

There are no good reasons to work for Manpower. Most people join the organization because they are misinformed during the recruitment process. They have a recruitment process that sounds very good to prospective employees. However, once hired, employees find out that it is a boiler room situation.

Cons

Branch management does not really know what they are doing, they are unapproachable and are not open to suggestions. Boiler room
