      More opportunities for career and personal development than you'd expect. Lots of knowledgeable and talented people

      Pros

      A surprisingly broad and deep range of solutions delivered to clients, with new ones being designed all the time also there are several brands, 80+ countries, so lots of potential to develop - I started work in one sector, then switched to another and then moved continent for three years. Senior management open to approach and are investing in enabling customer facing staff.

      Cons

      Large organisation so pay structures etc are quite rigid, but there are various incentive schemes etc. Service industry so there's often reactive demands

      Pros

      Working with the Manpower People has always been fantastic and still is. Even through difficult times people are listened to and tough actions taken.

      Cons

      with great people comes plenty of goodwill, sometimes this can be taken for granted, bringing new people in on what is said to be market rate salaries / benefits can devalue that goodwill, why not focus on existing people with renumeration

      Pros

      -My reporting line was really good all the way up to board members - it was a very supportive environment and people were approachable. -I felt like my inputs were valued and ideas and suggestions for improvements/changes were possible and even encouraged. -Really nice company and co-workers, and a lot less aggressive and intense than other recruitment agencies I've worked for and never got bombarded by emails out of hours and at weekends which was so refreshing -No other company I've worked for has done automatic annual salary increases and they did take steps to address widespread employee dissatisfaction regarding holiday and flexible benefits

      Cons

      -holiday and flexible benefits were addressed this year but still pretty poor compared to competitors -cost is always a consideration, so teams were lean, however never had a justifiable request to recruit declined and able to ramp up quickly using temp workforce to support during busy times
