Pros

I don't see any pros for working with Manpower.

Cons

I have worked at the same company for over 2 years. They will not hire me claiming they haven't got the money (they hire other positions all the time) and/or they're not hiring for my position. Which, that's fine, I know they're just trying to save a few bucks although I know they make millions every year, but I have tried to talk to the recruiter at Manpower about finding something where they were actually going to hire me. They won't help me after I've made them money for 2 years. I can't take days off if I'm sick, have no vacation time besides the 1500 hrs of time that you never know when you're going to get it so how can you plan for that? Plus, I feel like people treat me differently at my job because I'm not an actual "employee". It's degrading.

Pros

They will get you into a position relatively quickly. The pay is alright. It is good for desperate people who have been out of work for a while and just need something.

Cons

I think they take advantage of the temporary employees that they do hire. They pay lower wages than other full-time employees in the company that you are placed in. You end up getting the majority of the tedious responsibilities and people look down on you, like you are less of an employee because you are temporary or a contractor. Companies take advantage of the Manpower contractors, they don't have to pay them any benefits and they can let them go whenever they please and still say that they have not fired or layed off any employees.

Pros

Brand is recognized world wide, good benefits and work life balance.

Cons

Great leadership from Jorres and Priesling, but not true at the senior management level.
