Pros

Great environment and it was an amazing summer job. My boss was very personable and my coworkers were great as well.

Cons

The seasonal nature of ice cream makes for some slower days if the weather is cold and there are not a lot of customers.

Pros

You get free ice cream on the job (limited to a scoop a day), it's air-conditioned, and during the lull periods you pretty much get to do your own thing. Of course, this depends on where you're posted to.

Cons

The pay is definitely at the lower end of the spectrum, even compared to most other f&b jobs. You could argue they make up for it by giving you ice cream privileges but I think most would be happy to give that up in exchange for higher pay.
