Pros

Plenty of opportunity to fix things and gain experience in a variety of areas. Leverages the reputation of MySQL as core product. Unfortunately, it is now outdated with limited scope for growth in today's market. Some good talent coming through misled by its new silicon valley presence, but they usually leave pretty fast.

Cons

The company is missing strategic & ethical leadership at the top, with a small closed door executive team. Employees feel disengaged, burnt out and not respected, with only the ones with non-marketable skills staying on for job security.

Work from home. Incredible product and strong vision for innovation. Regular company meetings and share of information. Exciting new things on the horizon for this established start-up. Ability to grow with company. Promote from within.

Cons

High growth phase has its pain points for staff that work around the clock for customers and company. Introducing initiatives like health breaks in the future would be great idea to build culture and work life balance.
