Pros

The culture and staff are great. This is a fast paced growing company that offers many opportunities to grow within the company. Everyone wants you to succeed and are willing to help if they can. You are also encouraged to continue your education-Mariner offers an education reimbursement program. There is welcoming open communication with managment and HR. I have not found work-life balance to be an issue. You are expected and encouraged to jump right in and take the reigns of your position. Great 401K incentive.

Cons

I haven't come across anything that I don't like about Mariner Finance.

Pros

Decent entry level pay and experience for someone wanting to get into finance.

Cons

Unattainable goals, limited opportunity for growth, "employees are all replaceable" . Work life balance is non-existent. Lack of proper training programs. Number of responsibilities exceed the numbers on your pay check. Time management is not feasible without working over or coming in on Saturdays to complete your tasks. Job description does not match actual job responsibilities. Micro managing and "trickle down" accountability leaves you feeling unmotivated with low moral , especially at the branch level.

Pros

Pay is competitive and decent benefit package,

Cons

Micro managed, Upper management very shady, no work/home balance. Buying up companies very quickly and will lead you to believe they want to keep everyone but as soon as the dust settles they will find a reason to let you go or make up one. If you are a non core branch person , get out! Bully VP's that try to intimidate and twist your words and spin lies, when they want you out you will be out. HR is no better.
