Pros

Good tips, plus good hourly pay & benefits cant be beat for a server position

Cons

you have to suck up to customers, GM really dont give a dam about you, such a fake atmosphere. On your 90 day probation you can get fired on your 89th day which they do alot

Pros

*Travel benefits (hotel discounts!) -awesome! *Paid time off *Getting paid by the number of rooms is awesome! Much better than being paid hourly. *Get to meet lots of great people from all walks of life *Free breakfast every morning

Cons

*The pay sucks. I could be making much more doing a job that requires me to sit on my ass. *Some supervisors are just straight up MEAN. *Too many temporary workers in the housekeeping department and none of them speak English. *Be prepared to work every weekend and some holidays. *Lots of gossip and even some bullying going on. *No recognition for doing an exceptional job. *Being thrown in front of the bus in front of everyone. *Hideous uniforms *VERY hard work! Very strenuous physical labor. *Some people are NASTY! You wouldn't believe some of the things I have had to clean up (and you wouldn't want to! lol) *Nit-picking supervisors. No matter how clean the rooms are they will always find SOMETHING.

Pros

Despite what I read from other reviews, there is a lot of opportunity for advancement

Cons

LONG HOURS, 6 and 7 days a week are the norm. New vacation model of, use it or lose it, is not going to work for the associate. Back loading all vacation pay in the back half of the year, knowing that not everyone will be able to take it only benefits the corporation and not the associates. The chances of taking your full vacation time especially if you are in operations is unacheivable. Payout of difference would be a fair way to thank dedicated associates for working through their earned vacation. Instead it goes right back into the companies pocket.
