Pros

The people are fantastic. You grow by working with them. Daily the work is challenging and exciting to be involved with. Freedom in a framework allows you to push the boundaries of your work in a good way. Five Principles unite us Compensation fair and ability to deliver Year end bonus is realistic.

Cons

Take on too much work sometimes.

Decline in Living into the 5Ps

Pros

Old plan pension, matching 401K, flexible work environment, relationship based culture which could also be a con if you aren't skilled in navigating the organization.

Cons

Disconnected decision making, constant ambiguity in role expectation, career pathing, top-down active and visible sponsorship, the lower end of pay range as compared to public companies. Consultant dependent even where evidence of internal expertise, is risk-averse. Always paying consultants for the what and never the how to bring it to life and sustain.

In Mars I had the best line-managers I've ever had

Pros

- smart, inspring and empatetic line managers - well respected work life balance - great pay and great secondary benefits - focus on people - focus on efficiency and acting fast (no dutch "poldering" culture) - great purpose, great vision, no hierarchical layers between management and operations - everybody wears factory clothes (factory operators + management team) to reduce the barriers in hierarchy - (head) offices are close to factories for that same reason

Cons

- you will probably be stimulated to move on to promote or to another role after a few years. It is a good point. But if you do not want to move you might feel like "defending" that
