      Pros

      Smart coworkers. Very quantitative and analytical type of work. Able to experience variety of industries. Great benefits. Good network of alumni.

      Cons

      Whether you have a positive or negative experience is strongly correlated to the VP and Project Manager assigned to the project. Little formal training. Compensation lags competitors.

      Good place to start a consulting career, but watch out for management issues.

      Pros

      Great place to get your feet wet in consulting, especially for those who are the typical Mars profiles of engineers. Have great opportunity to come in and be exposed to business, interesting problems and be surrounded by smart, intelligent people. Learn how to dissect and understanding a business.

      Cons

      Still owned as a sole proprietorship. What the owner says goes, and this culture is also reflected in some of the other senior management. While the opportunity to learn is great, the people skills are lacking int he firm.

      Pros

      In the SF office there is a laid-back atmosphere and everyone pretty much sticks together and willing to offer a helping hand or teach you something new when needed. It isn't overly competitive and cutthroat.

      Cons

      There can be a lot of competitive intelligence work which often is more akin to telemarketing than management consulting. This completely depends which client and/or type of project you are staffed on. Some are luckier than others.
