Cons

Management from top to bottom is just terrible. Employee benefits are poor. They allow producers to manage employees and top management will not intervene with unethical practices.

Pros

This is a great company to work for, they truly stand for who they say they are. The are heavy on a healthy warm company culture, they care about their employees wellbeing and offer them a lot of incentives. They spoil their employees with food, outings, events, extra days off, flexibility and is big on putting your family first. There is a reason why they are the top company of the insurance industry. The company is very well managed and when any challenge arises such as COVID they attack the issue first hand and create a positive solution.

Cons

While this company is a great company to work for lately they have been struggling with employee retention. Employee retention is an issue due to their Lower compensation rate. Other companies are reaching out to their current employees offering them double of what Marsh currently pays them. Unfortunately, though they have great benefits/incentives they offer to their employees, pay is not competitive compared with other companies. New hires are making double in pay versus what current employee are making. Current employees are not satisfied with their lower pay compared to new hires. This is why retention is an issue right now.

Pros

A stable company with good credit.

Cons

Difficult to get a promotion. Internal employee structure fixed. Over the years, we had good people come and go. Because nothing happens after 3-4 years. You can get promoted is by giving your manager the 2 week notice. and they will start talking and try to keep you. But all adds up it won’t match the your outside offer. The company would rather try to hire people from outside. If you stating here definitely negotiate your starting salary higher than your expectation. Because the annual increase is low.
