Pros

You will have gas money and possibly be able to pay your phone bill.

Cons

There is no seniority. You get underpaid and being at this company for years makes no difference. You will train new employees to be in the position you have wanted to be in. There is no room in this company for growth unless you are a favorite. If your working at Marshalls plan on having two jobs...

Pros

The associates are top notch. They go over and above to get things done in a very stressful situation.

Cons

The management is not respected and therefore it trickles down throughout the building. Trying to keep a positive attitude is difficult. Having the time to develop the associates properly when your pulled in all directions proves to be a lost cause and they have a tendency to go else where.

Pros

It was a fun laid back place to work. Starting off, I worked multiple departments: Men and Kids, Women's, Home, the dressing room, and the front. I always got about 30 hours a week. They love people who have complete and open availability. The employees were great and I made good friends while I was there.

Cons

The managers. When you're at the front ringing up customers, my manager would be standing about ten feet away and talking in my ear through the walkie, "Make sure you ask them for TJX credit cards. Did you ask them? You sure? They said no? Ask again! Keep telling them the benefits. I don't care if they keep saying no!" TJX, TJX, TJX, that's ALL they care about. You will be bombarded every FIVE MINUTES to see if you got them a credit card or not. They want you to get about ten a week, two a day if you work five days a week. And God forbid if you take scan the item before you take off the sensor or take off the hanger last because it ruins their "ringing sequence."
