Pros

*You're assigned your own truck *Co workers

Cons

*no sign on bonus *poor management *they said they pay for referrals over a period of time. But working for the company is so unpleasant that you will sacrifice a referral bonus, to avoid causing another driver misery by referring them. *everyone in the office stick together with no regard for the driver *no matter what dispatch does, they'll always be right, in the eyes of management *dispatch and management talk to employees like second class people, and you're expected to allow them to, or face disciplinary action *egos are really big and if you challenge an ego, expect disciplinary actions *as a driver, if you have concerns, you can only rely on other drivers for all support. Not anyone in the office, at any terminal. Keep in mind that everyone in the office stick together. They'll stick together, even if management is out of line, just so they'll keep their jobs. Instead of sticking up for those without a voice in the company, the drivers, they'll stick together despite what's right, ethical and logical. *severe micromanagement *feels like an office job. It's like having the bosses always walking by your desk. *pay does NOT increase annually, as with other jobs. You will work for the same pay the duration of your Marten career. *no human empathy. Only profits matter. *drivers leave the company frequently for higher paying jobs, and better treatment by management *no holiday pay. If you work the day before, after and the DAY OF the holiday, you'll get paid. You won't get paid for the holidays , otherwise. *dispatch is sneaky and will say you said or did something you didn't. So keep everything in writing, over the Qualcomm.

Pros

Good pay, equipment, managers, terminals. Pay for detention, pay to park when roads are icy, pay for time spent broke down and motel when truck is in shop and not available. t

Cons

Too fire happy. I saw many drivers let go the first year for minor mishaps. I think there should be more close up mentor management for first year drivers to help them not have those incidents that get them fired.

Pros

As a fleet manager you work with some great drivers and some that are not so good. The job itself is fast paced and fun.

Cons

Office politics that is centered around who can kiss the most butt and the constant backstabbing of your fellow employees. The people that they have placed in leadership positions are not educated and they seem hostile to the newer hires who actually put in the work to get a degree. Instead of helping they try to belittle you and if you do not know your place you are quickly "not a fit" which is a joke. The company has so much potential but the leadership is ridiculous as far as your immediate supervisors. As far as upper management goes I did not have direct contact with them but the team leads are a joke.
