Pros
Co workers were good to work along side with, made work interesting and learned a lot from them all. Benefits and insurance started day one, monthly safety meetings, annual refreshers and safety topics helped to keep up to date. Area working in was open area of Wyoming, so its good to see and got to see wildlife every now and then. Was able to run machines and even run locomotives through the mine to add to certifications. Its not a bad place to start off at, and then search for better areas to continue your growth.
Cons
Communication could have been better on work days, days when the weather took a turn for the worse communicating with us was vague and didn't know if we were to come in or not and when we did drive in we were told to go back home. Seemed that the pay was low for what we all were to do daily and even the seasoned veteran operators got paid little and didn't seem right. Decent amount of turnover also, but with the low pay and low hours it didn't surprise me as to why.
