Hourly Wage Workers Treated Better Than Salaried Employees
Pros
Hourly workers are significantly over-compensated to avoid the formation of units. Company has great value system, but misses the mark big time on culture. Technology is decent. Health care benefits are great and paid almost in full. Great place to go if you only have a high school education and desire stability and want to work some place your entire life and retire there.
Cons
Salaried employees are treated like crap and underpaid, until people start dropping like flies to find higher paying jobs and then they throw monetary bonuses at you to get you to stay, but never increase your salary. Not a fun place to work - you feel afraid to even laugh. Executive staff is old and not very innovative or involved with the employees. Very rare to interact with an executive. Organization is small - only way to advance is if your manager quits or dies. Bad place to go if you have a college education or in any remote way desire to advance in your career or have management ambitions.
