Pros

Perks - they're trying to retain people - with stuff like free lunch, sodas, and a semi-annual friendly ping pong tournaments. Potentially, it could get some decent projects and revenue growth, and it has a solid revenue base, so the stock options may well be worth one's time...(are they ever anymore?) As a moderate sized company, it still has some very small thinking (which can be refreshing, providing freedom) and yet...

Cons

401K contributions are lousy. Turnover is generally high, especially in silicon valley Sometimes that small company mentality (smaller mentality than it is) means the VP of Engineering has to approve your unix account...really???

Pros

Marvell is still in the start-up mode where you can work on a variety of projects and gain great experience. There is no job training which tests your ability to work in an ambiguous environment. Free food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and good medical benefit also help make Marvell a good place to work.

Cons

This is an "engineering" company where there is not much respect for support staff (ex., IT, Facilities, Finance, Administration). Support staff is thin and overworked. There is not much investment in infratructure as the company grows. Morale is currently low for many support teams. There is no opportunity for growth and advancement - management is not progressive enough to think of building out a "world class" organization. Decisions are concentrated at top level with not much consideration for employee's inputs or feedback.

Pros

The HQ campus is very nice with good resources like the free cafeteria and free gym.

Cons

There are a lot of people here with bad manners and no class - stealing cutlery from the cafeteria, bringing whole families for lunch on weekends, leaving a mess in public areas etc. The company also low-balls job offers and has meagre annual raises. There is little awareness company-wide of the current projects going on in the various business units.
