Pros

There is a positive work-life balance due to work schedule flexibility, the work is leading-edge at times, the work environment is positive and coworkers are enjoyable. The pay is nice, and the bonuses are tied to performance.

Cons

There is less emphasis on a long-term technical strategy. For example, when considering the move to a new technology node (like 5nm), then the first project has to justify all of the expense of the new node. So, there is a bean-counter mentality in this regard.

Marvell through the eyes of someone who was RIF'ed

Pros

It seems that they are much more focused now and rely on data to make decisions. In the previous era, if you had a good story, your project was funded. It is nice to see the stock go up. They were very fair in the "good-bye" package that they gave me during the last RIF.

Cons

Not sure whether this is really a technology company anymore or just an accounting house. It seems to have the feel of a place that is being groomed to be sold for the IP. Of course I have absolutely no information as to this, it is merely my feeling.
